🗺️ DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1: Ha Giang City – Quan Ba Heaven Gate – Nam Dam Trekking – Yen Minh (Approx. 100km)
- Morning: Start your multi-day motorbike journey away from the city. The first highlight is conquering Bac Sum Pass and Quan Ba Heaven Gate to fully admire the Twin Mountains.
- Lunch: Rest and have lunch in Quan Ba.
- Afternoon: Experience a gentle trek through the peaceful Nam Dam village of the Cham Dao people. This is a great opportunity to stroll amidst untouched nature and learn about the traditional rammed-earth architecture. Afterward, ride through pine forests to Yen Minh town.
- Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at a homestay in Yen Minh.
Day 2: Yen Minh – Tham Ma Pass – Lo Lo Chai Village – Lung Cu Flag Tower – Dong Van (Approx. 90km)
- Morning: Ride through the legendary Tham Ma Pass and Chin Khoanh Pass. Visit the Hmong King’s Palace (Dinh thu Vuong Chinh Duc) to learn about the unique history of the rocky plateau.
- Lunch: Have lunch at Sa Phin intersection or Lung Cu area.
- Afternoon: Head to the northernmost point of the country – Lung Cu Flag Tower. From here, you will trek around Lo Lo Chai village right at the foot of Dragon Mountain, immersing yourself in the colorful cultural space of the Lo Lo people. At the end of the day, move to Dong Van Old Quarter.
- Evening: Rest, enjoy local specialties, and freely explore Dong Van at night.
Day 3: Dong Van – White Cliff Trekking & Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River Boat Trip – Meo Vac (Approx. 50km)
- Morning: Depart to conquer Ma Pi Leng Pass. The physical challenge of today is the White Cliff Trekking route (a trail along the dangerous cliff). This trek requires some stamina but rewards you with a breathtaking panoramic view of Tu San Alley from above.
- Lunch: Rest and have lunch.
- Afternoon: Head down to the boat station and relax on a boat trip along the emerald green Nho Que River. Afterward, the motorbike will take you to Meo Vac town.
- Evening: Check into Pa Vi Cultural Village (Meo Vac) and have dinner.
Day 4: Meo Vac – Mau Due – Lung Ho – Du Gia Waterfall (Approx. 80km)
- Morning: Leave Meo Vac and enter the winding M-shaped road through Mau Due. The scenery here is wild, offering a true off-road adventure for real riders.
- Lunch: Lunch in Lung Ho.
- Afternoon: Arrive at the fairy-tale village of Du Gia. The afternoon is entirely dedicated to outdoor activities: a short trek through the villages, wading through streams, and immersing yourself in the cool water of Du Gia Waterfall.
- Evening: Experience a “happy dinner” with a local Tay family at a Du Gia homestay.
Day 5: Du Gia – Lung Tam Weaving Village – Ha Giang City (Approx. 110km)
- Morning: Say goodbye to Du Gia, riding through mountain passes clinging to the mountainsides. Visit Lung Tam linen weaving village of the Hmong people to learn about the traditional hand-weaving process.
- Lunch: Lunch in Tam Son town (Quan Ba).
- Afternoon: Navigate the final curves to return to Ha Giang City, concluding a 5-day, 4-night journey full of memorable adventurous experiences.
- 16:00 – 17:00: Arrive back at the meeting point in Ha Giang.
