Day 1: Hanoi → Mai Chau (170 km – 5 hrs)
Ride from Hanoi into the countryside. Visit Hoa Binh Hydropower, cruise over the stunning Thung Khe Pass, and arrive in the Thai ethnic village of Mai Chau. Enjoy a traditional home-cooked dinner and overnight in a stilt house.
Day 2: Mai Chau → Ninh Binh (150 km – 5 hrs)
Explore the rustic village life of Mai Chau in the morning. Ride through peaceful backroads, stopping at Fish Spring, Fairy Cave, and the Ho Dynasty Citadel. Arrive in Ninh Binh for the night.
Day 3: Ninh Binh → Thanh Hoa (90 km – 2 hrs)
Take a rowing boat through the famous Tam Coc – Bich Dong grottoes. Visit Cuc Phuong National Park and Bai Dinh Temple before a gentle ride to Thanh Hoa for a relaxing evening.
Day 4: Thanh Hoa → Vinh (224 km – 7 hrs)
Ride along the Ma River to remote villages. Watch locals weave mats and visit Sen Village—birthplace of Ho Chi Minh. Arrive in Vinh for the night.
Day 5: Vinh → Ky Anh (150 km – 5 hrs)
Follow the Ho Chi Minh Trail south to historic Dong Loc Junction. Visit Nguyen Du Monument and Huong Tich Pagoda. Reach the coastal town of Ky Anh by evening.
Day 6: Ky Anh → Phong Nha (180 km – 6 hrs)
Cruise over Ngang Pass with stunning sea views. Learn how locals raise shrimp and harvest salt. Enter karst mountain terrain and reach Phong Nha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 7: Explore Phong Nha
A full day to discover Phong Nha’s wonders: ride to Paradise Cave, take a boat through Phong Nha Cave, and optionally visit the Dark Cave. Return to your hotel by sunset.
Day 8: Phong Nha → Khe Sanh (210 km – 6 hrs)
An epic ride through jungle roads and historical war routes. Ride the Ho Chi Minh Trail’s western branch, passing ethnic villages and old battlefields. End the day at Khe Sanh, former U.S. Marine base.
Day 9: Khe Sanh → Hue (190 km – 6 hrs)
Tour Khe Sanh Combat Base and Museum. Visit the 17th Parallel, Hien Luong Bridge, and underground Vinh Moc Tunnels. Ride along Tam Giang Lagoon into Hue – Vietnam’s ancient imperial capital.
Day 10: Hue → Hoi An / Da Nang (175 km – 5 hrs)
Ride the coastal roads through fishing villages and beaches. Stop at Elephant Springs for a swim. Climb the breathtaking Hai Van Pass. Visit Marble Mountain and Tra Que Village before arriving in Hoi An in the late afternoon.
